The Exhibition ft. Performance by Magical Bones
This work is about translating dancing into a line drawing. It is about tracing and visualising the line of movement of a dancer. Taking the canvas, expanding it and placing in underneath the body of the dancer breaks the traditional viewing of artwork on the wall to the floor, the stage of the performer. Below are the charcoal experiments in the studio and above shows the exhibition where the artwork was recreated for a live audience at the Goldsmiths SU.
